In 2001, Anita Stewart, PhD, and Anna Napoles-Springer, PhD, received $1.32 million for three years from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to conduct measurement studies and produce a survey instrument that is conceptually and psycho-metrically adequate to measure interpersonal processes (communication, respectfulness, and decision-making) that occur between patients and clinicians. The final instrument will be field tested to assure that final measures have similar measurement properties across three racial/ethnic groups (African American, Latino, and white). Links |
